Candy is a human whose body was taken over by the healer soul called Summer. Wanderer, Jared, and Ian captured her along with another healer in order to bring them back to the caves and extract the soul from the host body. Wanderer hoped that by capturing healers, the humans would maintain the memories of the souls and therefore be able to help those in the caves to learn more about the souls medical advances.

She also hoped that they could help Doc with the soul extractions after she was gone. They successfully extracted Summer from Candy's body but when witnessing it, the other captured healer kills his host, trying to kill himself. When Candy's consciousness returns to her body, she is very confused and cannot remember her own name. For a while, they call her "Mandy" because she feels that it is similar to her own name.

She is described as being older, yet beautiful and is believed to have caused some jealousy in Sharon due to her friendly relationship with Doc.
